Valentine's Day soup: cream of white vegetables

How to start a romantic dinner? Opt for an aromatic soup made of white vegetables. The aromatic spices contained in it will put you in a romantic mood.

Ingredients

  • 1 small cauliflower;
  • 1 medium parsley;
  • 1/2 celery root;
  • small onion;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 500 ml of broth (can be vegetable);
  • 100 g processed cheese in cubes;
  • Spices: salt, pepper, a pinch of nutmeg, ginger, turmeric and hot pepper;
  • a mixture of herbs: thyme, oregano, rosemary;
  • croutons;
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil.

Preparation

  1. Set the oven to 250 °C convection.
  2. Peel the celery, parsley and cauliflower. Then cut into cubes. Add the herbs to the chopped vegetables, along with the olive oil, and mix well. Grind them in advance in a stone kitchen mortar.
  3. Place the prepared vegetables in an ovenproof dish and place in a preheated oven on the middle shelf. Bake for about 15/30 minutes, until soft.
  4. In the meantime, peel and dice the onion and fry in a pot in a little olive oil until golden brown. Then add the chopped garlic and a pinch of turmeric and hot paprika. When they are translucent, add the roasted vegetables, then the broth. Heat it up, then remove from the burner. Add the processed cheese to the slightly cooled soup. Blend everything.
  5. Enhance the flavor and add a pinch of nutmeg. Serve with croutons. Enjoy.

  • 2 or 3 teaspoons of horseradish;
  • teaspoon rosemary;
  • small cream 12%;
  • teaspoon of sugar.

Preparation

  1. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into smaller pieces.
  2. Place the sweet potatoes in a pot and pour in the milk so that it completely covers the vegetable.
  3. Cover and cook for about 20-30 minutes until soft.
  4. Meanwhile, mash the dried ginger with a pinch of salt and pepper and a little butter. Also add the freshly chopped dill.
  5. Spread the resulting marinade inside the fish. Also place lemon slices inside (about 1.5 slices per trout).
  6. Melt a little butter with rosemary in a pan. Then fry the trout on both sides over low heat.
  7. While waiting for the fish and sweet potatoes, prepare the carrot salad.
  8. Peel the carrots and then grate them on a fine grater. Add the horseradish, a pinch of sugar and the cream.
  9. Place the trout, salad and sweet potatoes on a plate, then pour the melted butter with rosemary over them. Enjoy.

Valentine's Day Main Course II: Steak in Wine Sauce with Herbs

Not a fan of fish and prefer meat? Try our recipe for an aromatic steak in a wine sauce with herbs. This combination will take you to a higher level of taste sensations.

Ingredients

  • 2 beef steaks;
  • 2 tablespoons butter;
  • a mixture of herbs: oregano, thyme, marjoram, rosemary;
  • 1 glass of dry red wine;
  • 2 cloves of garlic (chopped);
  • 1 onion.

Preparation

  1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil and fry the steaks until they reach your desired degree of doneness, about 4 minutes on each side.
  3. Transfer the finished meat to a plate and cover with aluminum foil to rest.
  4. In the same pan, melt the butter, then add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until soft.
  5. When the vegetables are ready, pour in the red wine with herbs and cook for about 10 minutes until the sauce reduces.
  6. Pour the prepared sauce over the prepared steak and serve with sweet potatoes and salad according to the above recipe. Enjoy.
