Summer is in full swing, and the bars of the mercury are inexorably climbing upward. No wonder we're already thinking only of cooling off in the water and catching up on sunbathing. But where is the best place to go for such a holiday getaway? Wroclaw and its surroundings offer a whole range of perfectly prepared swimming areas, with something for everyone. Where to go on the water, Wroclaw? Whether you're a lover of entertainment on the beach, or rather prefer a quiet getaway in a secluded cove - whatever your preference, you're sure to find a dream spot for a summer getaway.

Morskie Oko - a bathing resort in Wroclaw with the atmosphere of a seaside beach

One of the most popular places for water recreation in Wroclaw is undoubtedly Morskie Oko. It is a guarded bathing resort on Chopina Street, which impresses with its vast 10-acre beach and 5-acre body of water.

The facility is equipped with slides, beach volleyball courts, as well as a paddling pool and playground for children. There are also kayak and deck chair rentals, so you can actively spend time on the water and laze on land. For those who want to relax in the shade after swimming, there are bars and summer cafes also with wooden deckchairs, as well as separate places for a bonfire or barbecue.

Morskie Oko is an ideal place not only for families with children, but also for people with disabilities - the bathing area is fully adapted to their needs. The water in the reservoir is regularly tested by the sanepid and considered suitable for swimming, and the safety of beachgoers is watched over by professional lifeguards. The only downside is that it is not possible to bring pets into the bathing area.

Glinianki - a facility with a rich infrastructure

Another recommendable place by the water is the bathing site of Wroclaw Glinianki at 2 Kosmonautów St. There is not only a sandy beach, but also soccer and beach volleyball fields, as well as table tennis tables. For water sports enthusiasts, there is also an equipment rental facility, including wakeboards.

In addition to the swimming area, there is also a mini-bar at Glinianki, where you can relax on a deck chair and find a highlander's shack with a grill, where you can enjoy meals outdoors. The water in the reservoir has been approved by the sanepid as suitable for swimming, and lifeguards watch over the safety of beachgoers.

Bathing area "Oporów" - a new version on the Oder River

Wroclaw residents who enjoy bathing along the Oder River will surely be pleased with the opening of a new facility - the "Oporów" bathing site at 25 Harcerska St. It was put into operation on June 25 and offers a beach with sanitary facilities, exercise equipment and a food court. Lifeguards are on duty here every day from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, ensuring the safety of bathers.

Special places for barbecues or bonfires have been designated at the bathing area, and there are parking spaces nearby. Unfortunately, the water in the basin does not yet have an assessment from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, but it is hoped that it will soon be approved for swimming. Admission to the site is free.

Königsberg bathing area - a charming place on the Oder River

Another new addition to the portfolio of Wroclaw bathing sites is the facility on Królewiecka/Narzędziowa Street, also known as the Królewiecka Pond. This guarded bathing site opened on June 25 and impresses with its picturesque 80-meter beach. Lifeguards are on duty at the designated section of the body of water during the season, ensuring the safety of bathers.

The Königsberg bathing area is equipped with a medical station, sanitary facilities and a designated barbecue area. There is also a parking lot nearby, making it easy for motorized visitors to get there. Unfortunately, as in the case of "Oporow", the water in the reservoir does not yet have an assessment from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate.

Mine Wroclaw - a holiday complex with attractions for everyone

A real oasis of summer recreation is the Wroclaw Mine, located in Paniowice, about 15 km from the city center. It's a complex divided into several thematic zones, where everyone will find something for themselves. Here you will find, among others, a family Beach, an entertaining Beach Club, an atmospheric Bay, a Water Sports Zone and an Island - a freedom zone for four-legged visitors.

In addition to the bathing area, there are beach playgrounds, playgrounds, as well as recreational equipment rental (deck chairs, umbrellas), water and sports equipment. For motorized guests, there is a free parking lot where you can leave your car, motorcycle or bicycle.

Blue Lagoon in Siechnice - the perfect place for a family outing

Lovers of swimming in clean water will surely appreciate the Blue Lagoon in Siechnice, located just 15 km from Wroclaw. This swimming area is divided into two zones - for non-swimmers and for swimmers, which guarantees safety for all visitors. On the beach there are beach volleyball courts and a refreshment stand, and for the active there are canoe and pedal boat rentals. Those seeking relaxation will find wooden deck chairs and umbrellas to make their time by the water more pleasant.

The water in the reservoir has been tested by the District Sanitary Inspectorate and found suitable for swimming. The safety of beachgoers is supervised by lifeguards, and admission to the bathing area is free. The only charge is for parking, which costs PLN 10 on weekdays and PLN 30 on weekends (free for community residents).

Mietkowski Lagoon - the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life

For those looking for a bit of peace and nature, the Mietkowski Reservoir, located about 37 km from the center of Wroclaw, is the ideal place. It's a vast body of water surrounded by forested areas, where you can not only bathe, but also relax at a camping and camping site with sanitary facilities.

At the resort you will find a volleyball court, as well as water equipment rental. There are also eating establishments with good food and loungers, catering to the needs of hungry and relaxing beachgoers. Admission to the bathing area is free, and parking will be charged at PLN 3 per hour or PLN 10 per day.

Jelcz-Laskowice bathing site - a guarded beach with wooden deck chairs on the Oder River.

Another guarded bathing beach near Wroclaw is the facility in Jelcz-Laskowice, located about 27 km from the city center. A large sandy beach, a separate swimming area and a recreation center with a food court and water equipment rental - all this awaits visitors to this place.

The swimming area is open during the season daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and lifeguards watch over the safety of beachgoers. The water in the reservoir does not yet have an assessment from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, but we hope to obtain one soon. Admission to the bathing area is free, while parking will be charged at PLN 5 on weekends.

Bathing places Wrocław, where to go to the water? Summary

The above bathing beaches are only a part of the leisure offerings in the Wroclaw area. For those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but don't feel like making a long trip, the Mietkowski Reservoir or the Blue Lagoon in Siechnice will also be a great option. Water sports enthusiasts, on the other hand, are sure to appreciate Kopalnia Wrocław, where, in addition to swimming, they can rent kayaks, pedal boats or try wakeboarding.
